You haven’t gotten tired of seeing Painted Buntings, have you?  I had an image from the blind from last spring that I really liked, but the background was awful.  Time for some fun with Topaz Glow!  I combined several of the presets to create an image with a dark background and a slight glow around the edges.  This type of editing always requires lots of layers and editing around fine edges (in this case, toning down the glow around each of the flower petals).  It gets tedious to do it with a mouse.  So I pulled out my iPad, stylus, and fired up the Astropad app.  It connects my iPad to my Mac wirelessly, letting me see the image on the iPad and draw on it directly using my stylus.  It’s pretty cool!  It takes a little practice to get comfortable with it, but it allows for fine-tuned editing.  The image above shows the final result, and the original is also provided below.  Which do you like better?
