The goldfinches have been quite active in our yard this winter.  This weekend it rained a lot, and I didn’t want to refill the feeders and let the seed get soggy in the rain.  So the poor goldfinches were left to argue amongst themselves over who got to eat at the two available ports.  I set up The Beast halfway across the yard and set my 7D to its 8 frame-per-second rate.  I rarely use that rate, but I needed it to capture the interactions of the birds as they came and went, fussing at each other as they claimed their feeding ports.
