Post-Processing Help From My Cat

Posted

I took soooo many pictures this weekend!  I filled my cards with the Sandhill Cranes at Circle B, then again with the Ospreys at Blue Cypress Lake.  It was awesome!  It feels so good to get back out with my camera.  Just in time for my favorite time of the year, bird nesting season!

I spent this evening going through Sandhill Crane pictures.  Hopefully I will have a blog post tomorrow.  But for tonight, I just have to share this picture of my post-processing buddy.  Goldilocks was sitting next to me while I went through images on my laptop.  I reached the movie I made of a nesting Red-Bellied Woodpecker, which had some good woodpecker calls as the bird worked on excavating his nest cavity.  The next thing I knew, my tentative and laid-back cat was all perked up!  First she just stared at the screen, watching the bird move around.  I replayed the video, and she perked up with each bird call.  Finally she couldn’t take it any longer and came over to sniff the screen.  I had to grab my phone for a quick snapshot.  She’s a smart cat — after she got tired of watching, she went around behind the screen to try to find the bird!  That’s my little post-processing helper!!
